Aye up. You may not be able to make it to Jamaica this Christmas, settling instead for your mumメs central heating and a family tin of Quality Street, but why not let the sunny dancehall vibe into your festivities as a consolation?
ムIメm Still In Love With Youメ (released on Jan 5th 2003) is the new single by Sean Paul and the fourth to be lifted from his platinum album Dutty Rock.
Featuring the vocal talents of Sasha, itメs due to follow in the footsteps of his earlier hits, Gimmie The Light, Get Busy, Like Glue and his collaborations with Blu Cantrell (Breathe) and Beyonce (Baby Boy).
Fancy a quick Sean Paul potted history?....
In 1996 Sean released a single called ムBaby Girlメ which quickly gained him a solid fan base amongst Jamaicaメs dancehall. One of his following singles, ムDeport Themメ became the number 1 record in Jamaica, gaining major airplay in Miami and New York. He collaborated with sing-jay Mr Vegas on ムHot Gal Todayメ on the Street Sweeper riddim by Steely and Clevie, which went to number 1 in Jamaica and throughout the Caribbean.
His debut album ムStage Oneメ was released on VP Records in 2000 and hit number one on Billboardメs Top Reggae Albums chart. This led to Sean performing at radio-sponsored summer jam concerts across the US and his reputation in the hip hop and r&b scene exploded too, leading to collaborations and touring with the likes of 50 Cent, Eminem, Jay-Z and Fabolous (Roc Da Mic).
