Itchy's old trainers are obnoxiously noxious. Our niffy Nikes smell so bad that our toes have started growing backwards into our feet in protest. Our K-Swiss stink more than Swiss cheese. Given the choice between inhaling within a fifteen-mile radius of our venomous Vans or using a tramp's bellybutton as a fondue pot, you'd be lapping hot Camembert out of a hobo's tummy-hole within seconds. Yup - our feet definitely need to move house.

This Santa-like generosity is in celebration of the fact that they are sponsoring the Best Newcomer Award at the 2007 UK Urban Music Awards (UMAs for short, natch). In the past, this prestigious category has been won by the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Kano, Sway and Soundbwoy, and this year Plan B, N-Dubz, Mr Midas, Pyrelli, Tinchy Strider and Natalie Williams are having a bash at bagging a nice trophy to decorate their mantlepiece. We want Natalie Williams to win, simply because she must be ever so jealous that all the other nominees have such fancy-sounding 'Urban' names, while she's just plain old Nat. 

Presenting the Foot Locker Best Newcomer Award is tip top hip hop maestro Kingslee 'Akala' Daley, a.k.a. Ms Dynamytee-hee's brother. Remember that fact. It's random scraps of knowledge like that which win pub quizzes. Speaking of which...let's bag you some trainers, already!
