Maybe because it's that daunting 30 metres further from campus – the students who do manage the journey tend to be on uni sports teams –. If you're planning on using a discussion about the writings of Albert Camus as a pretext for copping off, stick to the Charles. However, if you just want decent food and cheap beer in a friendly traditional pub, then you can't go wrong with the Derry.
