The Knavesmire
If this pub was in the centre of town, it'd be the busiest pub in York. Its got oodles of big screen tellies for watching the footie, more pool tables than you can shake a chalked stick at, loads of arcade games and some pretty decent yet also very cheap pub food and ale. Yet it's stuck down the bottom of Arlbermarle Road so only ever seems to get busy when there's a meeting at the racecourse. Worth checking out.
