It's not often that the prospect of eating at a former brothel sounds tempting, but the lure of award winning food and a recommendation from a cabbie as ”the best restaurant in York“, meant we could not bypass The Blue Bicycle. As specialists in fish dishes, the menu had some unique main courses. Accompanied by distinctive starters and rich desserts, it is certainly (a lot of) money well spent. With its intimate atmosphere in the low ceiling-ed dining room, The Blue Bicycle is the perfect place for a date. But keep the brothel information to yourself - you don't want your date getting ideas. Or do you?
