The Biltmore
In the best possible way, the appeal of The Biltmore has got to lie in its bit-too-posh-for-you-ness. High vaulted ceilings and luxurious décor make an evening of cocktails feel like an extra-special treat from the start. The drinks themselves are just as spectacular. In the interests of fairness (of course) I just had to sample a selection. Most impressive was Bramble, which came with actual berries bobbing delicately on top of it. The Spiced Pear, which tastes like Christmas, is also worth a try. Although prices aren't unreasonable, The Biltmore will make your card cringe a little more than many other bars in York. Sticking to Happy Hour will keep it smiling.
