Ristorante Bari
Snuggled comfortably in the small and quaint Shambles is the equally
small and quaint Ristorante Bari. Home to unpretentious and
generously-portioned Italian grub, friendly Italian hosts and candlelit
couples cooing at each other over plates of bubbling lasagne. The
traditional food is lovingly crafted so takes its sweet time to arrive.
However, bathing in the cosy buzz of the restaurant with its walls
crowded with pictures and oversized utensils and gawking at the
nervously smiling chef in the open kitchen is a pleasure. Dishes
average around £10 but rise to £20 for the more dedicated steak-eaters
among us.
