Resembling an American Evangelical Church from the outside. Once inside, you'll be greeted by the manager and guided over an abstract bridge, built on a fountain with coloured lights, and meet waiters that look like posh bellboys. It might sound more like a trip to Goa than an evening meal, but a little eccentricity just adds to the experience, especially when the food is good. If you haven't been, there's a pretty good chance that after your first visit you'll never want to eat curry anywhere else in York again –I mean that, and I'm not just trying to curry favour with the owners. It's not really a post–boozer curry house, and the fact that it is so far out of town means that it's a lot quieter as most people have made the trip especially for the food.

User Reviews for Jaipur Spice
Having ordered takeaway from this resteraunt, we were charged for delivery, even though their site claims it is free for orders over GBP12, and we had spent GBP18. The food was expensive for what you get, and was not that good either. I do not recommend this restaurant...there are much better ones in York for eating in and takeaway.

I have recently visited this restaurant whilst on holiday in York with my wife. I found the food to be excellent (and I'm a regular curry eater), the service was excellent and the price was very reasonable. We found all of the waiters very chatty and we were made to feel very welcome. We both thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. It was a shame that it was not in a better area of York.
