Now this is a real Italian restaurant. Noisy, bustling, and with pizza chefs doing their whirling dough dervish impression in full view – and for my personal peace of mind I always like a kitchen you can see –. Plenty of options on both the food and wine menus, big noisy parties as well as intimate – well, almost – twosomes.

I had the worst service of my life here! My partner planned a birthday surprise, he went out and bought me a really nice cake and took it in to the restaurant the night before, and they had said this was fine. On my birthday, we had a meal with a group of friends and waited for our plates to be cleared. I then heard singing...they were singing happy birthday to a girl celebrating her 21st! To my partner's amazement, they were carrying the birthday cake he had bought for me! He went over to tell them about their mistake and they refused to go and get the cake back and just said they would give him the money. The chef in the end went to get the cake, and we didn't get an apology. The other table got free desserts! After much arguing from my partner we had 2 bottles of wine knocked off our bill. The owner was not in so I wrote him a letter to tell him about my disappointment and how upset my partner was that they had ruined his surprise for me. I have never had a reply. Really, really bad customer service. I would never recommend this place; it is very over-priced for Italian, too.

After reading some good reviews about this restaurant, a group of friends and I decided to have a meal there to celebrate an engagement. Perhaps we came on a bad night, perhaps someone had double booked, perhaps they were short staffed. Anyway, whatever the reason, we had to wait ages for our table, the staff were abrupt and seemed to rush us, the food was overpriced, the restaurant was loud and overcrowded, and the manager was extreamly rude and dismissive when we queried an item on the bill which we hadn't ordered.

I came over from Leeds for a girly night out with my friends. Someone had told as about this restaurant and how good it was. I have to say I was very disappointed! We waited 20 mins to have our order taken, and my friend still ended up getting the wrong dish. The staff didn't seem to care, and the manager was even worse - he was very dismissive when we tried to talk to him. We felt very unwelcome in this restaurant. I will never make the mistake of returning.
