In my Gran's day the best place to people watch was Blackpool pier. Nowadays you can do no better than positioning yourself amidst the CDs, DVDs, videos, posters and books that HMV has to offer. Watch the glitter–heavy tweenies club their pocket money together for the S Club Juniors mega–mix, the wannabe DJs nodding their heads in appreciation over that Mr Scruff 12 inch, and the reluctance of a thousand parents to buy their offspring the latest from The Offspring. Good for their ever–present sales and a stock list so large it beats most other music stores into submission.
