The name derives from the keys on the arms of the Seal of York, meant to signify the gates of heaven. But when I get to heaven – a guaranteed cert – I'm hoping to be sharing champers with the cast of Star Wars, not staring at an aged carpet and some fleur–de lys wallpaper. Big screen sports, a beer garden tucked away under the shadow of the Minster, and 'talent' from local bands. They'll even listen to your tapes and decide if you can 'entertain' their customers. Although a damn sight less scathing than the Pop Idol squad, now I've mentioned it they'll probably be deluged by every Shed Seven wannabe in the city and quickly lose their patience.
