Tucked away down a Micklegate snickleway, this place is usually overlooked by drinkers marauding down the city's 'Super Lashway'. Their loss. Knocking out spurious ales since 1783, the choice of entertainment hasn't changed much, consisting mainly of dominoes, folk music and picking bits of beard hair out of your soup. A lot of the regulars possess that unique warmth found only among the irreversibly insane, but if it gets too much you can always hide in the upstairs beer garden and whimper into your pint of 'Bumpy Ned'.
