If you thought York was a sophisticated place, ten minutes in here and you'll be more than aware that we have as many mutants as any other city in the land. In fact there appears to have been a few mutations in here. The lager seems to stop all the lads hair growing beyond grade one, and the Bacardi Breezers have obviously got something added which makes all the girls turn into right old slappers. They still have the student nights and at the weekend tend to attract a slightly older – not mature mentally, mind – crowd –and as with everywhere in York they have a ridiculously strict dress code –cos trainers would lower the tone, right?

This is a bit of a cheat as I'm the doorman at this venue. This club for some reason is the best club I've ever worked at. I've worked at clubs all over, even abroad, and for a strange reason I always come back to Ziggys. It might not be the biggest club, but with a lot of work from the owner and staff we launched the 1st lap dancing venue in York which is very successful and put the place back on the map. We've just put our nightclub back up with a top dance DJ. Saturday nights are for the customers who like a mix of old and new music. IF EVER VISITED YOU'LL NEVER FORGET IT. Myself, I love the place!

Having just been to ziggys last night for the first time in years i noticed one very important thing its just the same as it always was except for the upstairs which is still the same apart from the pole dancers and 10 quid for a private dance girls (very nice). im not knocking the place just stating a fact.
