York's first publishing house to be established this century, ENDpapers is a strong believer in championing new talent. It's run by the people behind El Piano and a team of York based writers. Their Hand series of cookery books are proving to be very popular, and there's also a range of successful fiction titles. They're always on the look out for new writers, so if you've had your work read by 10 or more people they'll be happy to consider it. Their main interests fall into four main categories: the Hand series – a range of cookery books –, Novels of the Spirit, Poetry and Artists of York, and the Region. ENDpapers books are available from El Piano and host of city books stores including Borders –the reception to this independent publishers has been really positive and they're filling up some of the space in book shops usually held by wall upon wall of the latest Harry Potter –thank God.
